How To Install App via APK on Android Phone/ Tablet / Camera

Very often we have seen people looking for apk files for various free apps. The reason usually is, they for some reason unable to access Play Store. Installing apps from outside Play Store also known as sideloading apps. However, there is a big security risk while you install apps from outside Play Store. You should download it from trusted source like TrueAPK. We upload apk as it is, without any modification. Ok! Once you downloaded your apk files, you need to know how to install it. Here we share a small little guide that surely helps you.

Before moving forward few thing you should know first:

1. Your device must have a file explorer. Almost all Android handset comes with a file explorer.

2. If you downloaded the apk in your desktop then you must first transfer it to your Android device.

  • You must have device driver installed in your desktop if you transferring file from computer to Android device.[Driver List]
  • Make sure USB Debugging is enabled otherwise you won’t able to transfer file from computer to Android device. [Guide]

3. Unknown sources is checked. [Go to: Settings –> Security]

How To Sideload Apps on Android Devices

Step 1: Connect your smartphone to the PC and then transfer downloaded APK file in SD card or internal memory. Then disconnect it. If you directly downloaded to mobile then this step is not required.

Step 2: Navigate copied/downloaded APK file in your transferred/downloaded location using installed file manager (e.g. ES File Explorer)

Step 3: Tap on APK file and then proceed for installation. You have to provide required permission when asked.

That’s it! You just installed an app through apk or you just sideloaded an Android app.
